Give someone the chance to see London differently — in the company of James Burns, the photographer behind London from the Rooftops. A private photography experience, thoughtfully presented with London artwork and a personal invitation.

Inside the presentation box: a personalised invitation, a personal welcome from James, a signed London photographic print and one 2027 calendar from London from the Rooftops or Iconic Blocks. Calendar selection is arranged by email. Presentation imagery will be added as the packaging is developed; the current photograph introduces your host.

Choose their adventure

• The London Explorer — £195: a two-hour private photography experience and gift box.
• The London Photographer — £325: a four-hour private photography experience and gift box.
• The Photographer's Day — £495: a four-hour private shoot, a separate two-hour Lightroom workshop and gift box.

All packages are for one person. The recipient can choose a focus such as discovering London, architecture, smartphone photography or night photography. Equipment needs depend on the chosen theme; James will help plan this with them. Lightroom requires the recipient's own computer and software. The artist press-shot package is sold separately.

Make it personal

After ordering, email James with the recipient's name, your gift message and order number. The recipient arranges their date separately, so you do not need to choose the day before giving the gift. For Christmas gifts, please contact James before ordering to confirm dispatch timing. Delivery charges, where applicable, are shown at checkout. This is a physical gift package; no instant download is supplied.

This is a private session with James Burns, founder of London from the Rooftops, drawing on over 20 years photographing London. Teaching is tailored to your interests, experience and equipment.

Booking your date

After purchase, email james@londonfromtherooftops.com with your order number. We will agree a date, meeting point and creative brief together. Please arrange your session within 12 months of purchase. Dates are subject to availability; contact James before buying if you need a particular day. Outdoor routes are planned around weather and accessible locations; private rooftop access is not included. Travel, refreshments and paid venue entry are not included.
