Explore London's bold architecture with the photographer behind Iconic Blocks. This private session is for people who find beauty in strong lines, sculptural buildings and the extraordinary places Londoners call home.
We will choose an area together and explore how light, scale, repetition and viewpoint turn architecture into a photograph with presence.
What you will explore
- Graphic compositions, symmetry and deliberate disruption.
- Lens choice, converging verticals and perspective.
- Finding texture, shadow and human scale.
- Making a coherent series rather than a collection of isolated shots.
Included: three hours of private tuition for one person. Bring your camera or smartphone. Routes use publicly accessible locations and respect the people who live there; access inside buildings or to private estates and rooftops is not included. No physical gift box is included.

This is a private session with James Burns, founder of London from the Rooftops, drawing on over 20 years photographing London. Teaching is tailored to your interests, experience and equipment.
Booking your date
After purchase, email james@londonfromtherooftops.com with your order number. We will agree a date, meeting point and creative brief together. Please arrange your session within 12 months of purchase. Dates are subject to availability; contact James before buying if you need a particular day. Outdoor routes are planned around weather and accessible locations; private rooftop access is not included. Travel, refreshments and paid venue entry are not included.
